For My final project, I am thinking about writing about letters from overseas. I want to zone in on relationships that were built not only romantically but also friendly. I want to learn the impact of letters in this way and how people, overtime without ever seeing or meeting each other, become best friends or fall in love. I want to really try to understand how they just became pen pals and what they started out talking about. This stuff is always interesting to learn about and see how things were back then. In today’s world you can just send a text or something like that to any random person. Back then it was almost impossible to meet people from overseas and I wonder how they started to meet people and what they did to meet them. Letters meant a lot to these people because it was their only way to connect and talk and that is just fascinating.
